I live in Norwalk, Ca. It is a little suburb of Los Angeles. We have over 110,000 folks and are the 58th most densely populated city in California. We are at 98 feet above sea level. The area was first populated by the Shoshone Native American tribe and they still have a campground here. In looking up the vital statistics, I found that in 1958, two military planes collided over Norwalk, killing 47 service men and one lady on the ground. I had no idea.
I like my neighborhood. We are a mad mix of races, ages, and interests. I miss walking my dog because that is when I got to see folks and how things were going. I must get back into it now that my arm is healed.
I can never remember where you all are from unless you a sly and put it in your name here, like Pam in Calif. But I would love to know where you live, just a note about your town.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos.
