DK Quilt Guild is a place for quilters to gather, share ideas, projects, and to make the world a better place, one quilt at a time. Join us and share your thoughts, projects, questions, and tips. Quilters here are at many different levels of skill. Beginners and non-quilters are welcome, too.

You can see every little detail and error in that scan of a very small block from a small sampler. It is the “X” block but I decided to use an “O” in that place so I decided to use that left over block for a mug rug that I could practice on it. It looks a lot neater smaller!
But it comes from this sampler from a workshop at my guild last week. Our instructor was Shelly Swanland. Here is the work in progress.
It is small, about 22” square. I have only gotten the right side of the blocks sewn down into the curves. When this is finished, the whole thing will be little curved pieces, with the large center panel done like the mug rug, in X’s. The small upper right block on the sampler is the “0” block referenced above.
I will quilt the borders too but I don’t know how just yet.
What are you up to today?
