I love the idea presented above. How easy is it to do, especially with succulents. I like how they have interspersed the double cinder blocks with the single to cantilever them and give this planter depth. The design is simple, elegant, and I wonder why I never thought of it.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

I had a lovely floor lamp that was fired like this but tall and thin that I wanted to use with this idea. Unfortunately, I did not get it done before it got broken but I hang on to the idea.

I gather driftwood when we go to Oregon on road trips. I have some interesting pieces and lots of available stock to take cuttings from. My problem is they don’t stay small for very long and then need to be replanted.

I have two big wagon wheels. It will take a whole lot of little plants to fill one. Maybe I can start growing little ones in egg cartons or something.

Another version/idea for the cinder blocks.

This is something I can do with old jeans other than make purses.
Well, those are my ideas for tonight. It was a good birthday. Lil Zen brought me lunch after having planted my front yard with pool noodle candles. My housekeeper came and things are better in the corners. I did not have any bad effects from the 2nd covid shot. Handsome Joe is Prez.
This is my front yard if you didn’t see this earlier. I think its a great idea. Lil Zen got them from one of her partners on the free site who lends them out for this very thing. She’s such a cool kid, I tell ya’.
Be safe and be well.
