I put away Halloween on the first of November and put my fall decorations back up outside. They will stay until Dec 1 when I will turn to Christmas. I have the one in the title spot inside on my fireplace wall in the den. I like it a lot.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

I am going to be short here tonight. I was deep frying my dinner and dropped a pair of tongs into the oil, which splashed up on me. Most of it hit my shirt and did not harm but I got a largish superficial burn (no blisters) on my left arm and it hurts. I can’t get it comfortable so typing is tough. I iced it and stopped further damage but it still stings. My chin and neck got some but no blisters there either and after icing, the pain went away. I have a little red skin but it is hard to see in my splotchy freckled face. I will be fine when my arm stops hurting but I am going to turn this over to you all for the balance of my time. I hope to find a way to sleep.
