Thank you to Tippy and Dad for the break! You did a fine job and I appreciate it.

Forgetting has two sides:
1) Forgetting where you put something.
2) Forgetting that you used all of something and you keep looking for it.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

I have one of my father’s bowling balls. It is in the garden. It used to overlook a plant that I got from mama, but that has been replaced and now he just looks out on the garden. He has blue marble eyes and wears an actual pair of his glasses. He passed in 2007. Two weeks ago, the gardener weed whacked around his bowling ball and knocked off his glasses. I have looked in that area every day, under everything, around and around but no glasses. I had decided to buy some at the swap meet, but today, Harvey the 6ft rabbit returned them to me. He left them right next to a large resin frog, almost in his mouth. I was thrilled the get them back, thanked Harvey, told him it was not funny, and put them back on daddy. I hope he sees better again.

The guild had a fine time today with the flea market prize table and every item found a new home! I was very happy and one item found a home with our guest speaker, and another with her niece. They were pleased.
I had not been getting many donations before the quilt show because we saved them all up for one of the biggest money makers and most popular attraction at our quilt show, the flea market. Lots of ladies go straight there before they even start to enjoy the show. But today, my ship came in and it was loaded with treasures and trinkets for future door prizes and raffle baskets. A successful meeting.
We have tentatively set a work shop for 10/19 where I will teach a purse making class. I have about 15 people signed up but that ebbs and flows.
The Queen of Ween was well received, even though it is not quilted yet. Maybe by next month.

My fave pizza shop, Bob’s, of which I have written before has closed forever. I am so sad. He made great pizzas. He rolled the edges of the crust under and pressed them down, leaving his fingerprints inside the roll. I will miss him and the pizza. I did try Domino’s New York style just to find out and it was pretty good but not like a small pizza shop. Probably not like a real New York pizza either.

I got this as a donation today. It is like the package you see, flat but you put it on a mason a jar and it becomes a notions holder. I think it is real cute and I am trying to decide if I make it and hand it out as a door prize DIY or if I just give it as is and the person can make it or not. I am dying to do it and see how it works but that is kind of self centered. It will be a door prize either way.

I got an official Federal Jury Summons last week. I am not real happy but I have never served in Federal Court. I hope I don’t get picked and will be excused. How many lawyers want an absent minded old woman on their jury? We’ll see.

Have a good day all.
