Today is my baby sister’s 50th birthday. She and her husband are going sky diving. They will each be strapped to an experienced sky diver but the thought of jumping out of a perfectly functioning plane is crazy to me. I wish her happy birthday! I had tea with her yesterday. I didn’t see her big red suv in the parking lot and asked her when I saw her inside already. She pointed outside at a 2014 silver Mercedes and said “Happy Birthday to me!” I guess so. I am very happy for her, she works hard and long hours and saves her money. She deserves anything she wants.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you.
