Since Bill has been sick, I have not been eating well. That he can’t eat makes me feel guilty that I can. It is harder to eat alone. Cooking for two was a challenge sometimes, for one it is just too much work. Ordering take out often means too much left over. Its been so hot, all of these excuses worked but I really miss snacks.
I get good meals two or three times a week with my friends that I go out with on a regular basis. They have been bringing in food and I have had it for lunch and later dinner so I am not lingering at death’s door. But I have lost weight. I haven’t weighed because I have this big boot on my leg and it weights quite a bit.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

I tend not to buy snacks, like chips or candy because I eat all of it and need none of it. But I slacked off even further when Bill got sick and then, I broke my ankle. I am not released to drive, I can not get out of the house alone, and even though I can drive, I can’t get out of the car to my rollator alone. So I have had no snacks for about a month.
Fatal mistake today. I was working on the raffle basket for my guild meeting next week and discovered that I have a few small Dollar Tree bags of candy. I put one in each raffle box each month. Well, I will have to get to Dollar Tree somehow between this month’s meeting and next month’s because I put one bag in the raffle box and the other two are on my desk, in front of me. They will not last long.
Glorious!
Have a good day, take care of yourselves. Have some candy if you can.
