The Autumnal Equinox is today. I always think all the seasonal changes are on the 21st of their months, but overhead someone correct someone else today. I guess I have lived long enough for the seasons to have marched on one day or else it is just another thing I have wrong in my head. At least it is a harmless mistake.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

Fall is my favorite season, cool at night and warm during the day. Windy and crisp. A time for soups and pies. I am not a big soup fan but I like broccoli cheese, and tomato soup with lots of croutons to add a few at a time.
But it is still too hot for that here, although not right now. The heat will come and go until the week before Halloween and then it will be cool on Halloween night. Last year, Lil Zen and I made a long tube from the porch to the driveway and scooted the candy down the tube into the waiting bags. it was fun but needs work if we are going to do that again this year.
