The guild had its Christmas party Wednesday. We are in the middle of changing officers right now and it seemed no one wanted to be in charge. Things were chaotic, but it all worked out in the end. There was lots of great food, everyone got a gift, promises were made for the future and we muscle on. I ended up being involved in a lot of things and not able to take pix but my pix are never anything to write home to mom about. And so we move on to 2025.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

I took Wednesday afternoon off after I had put everything away from the guild. I will be back at it today, doing forward prep for dinner next week. I think I have everything I need so I will be making up recipe boxes with all the dry ingredients measured out, ready to become a pound cake or a lemonade pie. I have a couple of salads to I will have to do mostly on Christmas day but a lot can be done ahead.
I hope you are all having a good day, getting things done that make you feel good or at least useful. My next diary will be after Christmas, so Joyful Holidays to you all now, however you celebrate this time of the year.
